The Cleveland Cavaliers have officially signed center Kendrick Perkins, according to GM David Griffin.
Perkins was traded from the Oklahoma City Thunder to the Utah Jazz at the NBA trade deadline, but was bought out by the Jazz and became a free agent. ESPN's Marc Stein reports that the deal is worth $434,547 for the remainder of the season.
Perkins appeared in 51 games - including three starts - for the Thunder this season, and averaged 4.0 points and 5.5 rebounds in 19.2 minutes per game.
