The Cleveland Cavaliers are interested in signing center CSKA Moscow's Sasha Kaun for the 2015-16 season, according to Sportando.
Kaun played college basketball for the Kansas Jayhawks, winning the 2007-2008 national championship. He was drafted with the 56th overall pick by the Seattle Supersonics in 2008, but they traded his rights to the Cavaliers for cash considerations.
Kaun has never played in the NBA, joining CSKA Moscow in his native Russia after being drafted, but the Cavs have maintained his rights.
He also has played for the Russian national team under current Cavaliers coach David Blatt and with Cavs center Timofey Mozgov.
