The Cleveland Cavaliers named Anderson Varejao as their starting center just a few days ago, and now they're close to locking him up for the foreseeable future.

Varejao is entering his 11th season in the NBA, and hasn't played for another team other than the Cavs. The deal would keep Varejao in Cleveland through 2017-18.
He averaged 8.4 ppg and 9.7 rpg for them last year while playing in 65 games.
