The Ricketts family, owners of the Chicago Cubs, have purchased three Wrigley Field-area apartment buildings and the rooftop businesses they house, per property record that were confirmed by Chicago Tribune sources on Friday night.
Per Ameet Sachdev and Jared S. Hopkins of the Tribune, "county property records show that the building at 3639 N. Sheffield Ave. was sold Jan. 9 for $4.2 million. The property is owned by James Lourgos and his partners. Lourgos said the $4.2 million represents the value of the real estate sold to the Ricketts family, but he did not disclose the purchase price of the rooftop business."

This ends was has been a long-running feud between the Ricketts family and rooftop owners over the past several years. With the acquisition, Cubs ownership now controls the substantial revenue generated by these three apartment buildings for the 2015 MLB season and beyond.
