The Chicago Bulls front office has been making exploratory calls about trading one of their big men for the last couple months, but a recent report that they are interested in New York Knicks guard Arron Afflalo isn’t realistic.
The Bulls would love to add a wing like him who can play defense and space the floor with his three-point shot, but now that trading Joakim Noah isn’t possible, I wonder if Chicago could put a good enough package together to land Afflalo. Pau Gasol‘s current contract actually matches up perfectly with Afflalo’s and works in ESPN’s trade machine, but I would hope that the Bulls also try weaseling a first round pick out of the Knicks in order to grease the wheels for this potential trade.
