Bulls general manager Gar Forman and vice president of basketball operations John Paxson both warned everyone that this could happen at the team’s season-ending press conference, but no one thought it would go down like this.
The Bulls traded Derrick Rose to the Knicks Wednesday, along with Justin Holiday and a second round pick to the New York Knicks in exchange for Robin Lopez, Jose Calderon, and Jerian Grant as reported by Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical and K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune.
“Knowing Derrick as I do makes this trade a hard one,” Bulls chairman Jerry Reinsdorf said in a statement.
