The Boston Celtics announced that both Jaylen Brown (right ankle sprain) and Tristan Thompson (left pectoral strain) are out for tonight’s game against the Orlando Magic.
Brown’s absence comes on the heels of a scary collision with Jayson Tatum in the final minute of Sunday’s loss to the Trail Blazers, which sent both to the locker room. Tatum is good to go against the Magic, but Brown will be sitting this one out after avoiding a “significant injury.”
Thompson managed a clean bill of health since returning from a 13-game absence after entering the league’s health and safety protocols.
