Isaiah Thomas met with his first hip specialist yesterday, and based on what Brad Stevens had to say this morning, the Celtics guard may have many visits to make before he decides on a course of action, including surgery.
According to a team source, Thomas planned to speak with doctors in Boston and New York, and may expand the process to other parts of the country as well.
“Isaiah saw somebody yesterday,” Brad Stevens said at this morning’s shootaround at Quicken Loans Arena in preparation for Game 4 of the conference finals tonight against the Cavaliers.
“He’s still collecting information and we’ll see or discuss second, and probably third, fourth, fifth opinions,” said the Celtics coach, who as of this morning hadn’t talked to Thomas about his first consultation.
