Miami Heat guard Dwyane Wade didn't get a lot of love in their trip to Boston on Saturday, but Boston Celtics forward Jae Crowder was one who enjoyed having the future Hall of Famer in town.
Crowder spoke glowingly about Wade following the Celtics 101-89 victory, saying that Wade "is like a big brother" to him.
"I was messing with him today," Crowder told reporters after the game. "I said, 'I don't know how much longer you got, but I enjoy playing against you. We'll keep battling along until he rides into the sunset. But I enjoy it."
The two Marquette products developed a relationship while playing pickup games at the school, and they have maintained that relationship throughout Crowder's time in the NBA.
Crowder is having a career year for the Celtics this year, averaging 14.4 points and 5.2 rebounds per game so far this season.
