The ping pong balls are in, and the Boston Celtics will pick sixth in the 2014 NBA Draft. While they had a 29.2% chance to get a top 3 selection, the Celtics will pick at number six as a result of their 25-57 record from 2013-14, fifth worst in the league.
This is the Celtics' first lottery pick since they took Jeff Green, the Big East Player of the Year in 2007.
At number six, there’s certainly no lack of talent for Boston to choose from. Top prospects include Indiana PF Noah Vonleh, Kentucky PF Julius Randle, Arizona PF Aaron Gordon, and Dante Exum, the 6'6" guard from Australia.
The 2014 NBA Draft will take place on Thursday, June 26.
