In today's episode, Babcock and I will commiserate about what a difficult time this is for NBA and NFL fans. We'll also dig into the NBA draft. What were the major stories? How did the Celtics make out? Who was our favorite dude in this draft? What team made the most exciting upgrade? We'll also entertain rumors about Chris Paul potentially coming to Boston and discuss what free agent wide receivers might be able to help what currently ails the Patriots. Other topics include: whoopie pies, sauerkraut juice, cigarettes, and cribbage.
Here is this week's humble offering:
Please be sure to subscribe on itunes and leave us some reviews (search "chat new england podcast" in the itunes store). It costs you nothing, but it makes a big difference for us.
Programming Note: Because of the current lockouts in the NFL and NBA (who will be locked out as of midnight Thursday) and our very busy July travel plans, this will most likely be the last live episode we record until the first week of August. However, if there is any major news specific to our teams (or important enough in the leagues that it warrants a podcast), we will channel our inner MacGyver and record a podcast using whatever we can find surrounding us where we are.
In anticipation of this hiatus, we have spend a week putting together episode 9, which is a cut up, edited compilation of the best (in our opinion) segments of these first 8 episodes. Think of it as a greatest hits. It will be posted up on Thursday morning. Then, we'll be back hitting the football hard in episode 10 on August 1st.
