Boston Celtics star Rajon Rondo has been the subject of trade rumors for seemingly years now, with the dynamic guard having been rumored to be on and off the trading block a multitude of times.
According to ESPN's Marc Stein, trade talks surrounding Rondo have heated up considerably in the past 24 hours, with the Dallas Mavericks emerging as a prime suitor:

The centerpiece of such a deal for Boston? A first-round pick and Dallas' Brandan Wright:

There are at least two other teams Stein names as being the periphery of talks right now:
Celtics ARE talking to other teams -- most notably Knicks and Kings -- but sources say most serious Rondo talks to date are with Mavericks

But, it could be the Mavs' in-state rivals, the Houston Rockets, who provide the most competition for Rondo's services:
