In another Celtics rumors and news update for your 4th of July weekend, former Golden State Warriors and Los Angeles Lakers guard Kent Bazemore still has multiple suitors chasing him - with the Boston Celtics said to still be in the mix for his services.
According to Jeff Caplan of NBA.com, while the Atlanta Hawks might have the edge when it comes to landing Bazemore, the Celtics aren't out of it yet:
Kent Bazemore could have quality options. Will indeed meet w ATL Mon, 3rd face-to-face meeting (SA & BOS) though told he's still wide open.

After the Lakers declined to make a qualifying offer to Bazemore in a cost-cutting maneuver earlier this offseason, Bazemore has found himself as a wanted man for teams looking for cost-effective depth at guard - including the Boston Celtics.
Adding him to the depth chart in the backcourt with Rajon Rondo, Avery Bradley, and Marcus Smart could prove to be a very shrewd move for Celtics president of basketball operations Danny Ainge - especially if the 25-year-old Bazemore begins to evolve from a promising young role player to a legitimate minutes-eating rotation threat.
