The Boston Celtics are fighting to hold onto a playoff spot, and they might get some help from an unexpected source.
Boston will play the Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday and Sunday, but according to ESPN’s Brian Windhorst, LeBron James may take those two games off to rest for the playoffs.
Cleveland has already clinched the No. 2 seed in the East, so the results of the last four games hold no meaning for them in turns of playoff positioning.
Boston is currently No. 7 in the conference, and winning both games would go a long way in securing that seed for the Celtics. If they do clinch the No. 7 seed, they will face the Cavs in the first round of the playoffs.
