Boston Celtics forward Jared Sullinger has been diagnosed with a left forefoot stress injury and will be out indefinitely, the team announced late Thursday night.
Sullinger says he suffered the injury during Boston's final game before the All-Star break against the Atlanta Hawks.
Sullinger (14.4 ppg, 8.1 rpg) will undergo further testing in Boston before the team releases an injury timetable. Head coach Brad Stevens says he doesn't expect the big man to be available "anytime soon".
The injury should free up some playing time for Jonas Jerebko, who the Celtics acquired at the trade deadline. His status for tonight's game is uncertain.
