The Boston Celtics announced that they will start selling playoff tickets on Tuesday, with fans being able to purchase them simply by signing up to be on an e-mailing list.
However, even though the Celtics hold the eighth and final playoff spot, they've yet to clinch a postseason berth with just five games left. The Indiana Pacers and Miami Heat are each one game behind Boston in the standings.
If Boston does miss out on the playoffs, fans who bought tickets will be a refund, according to the team's website:
The Celtics’ Round One opponent and the dates and times of games will be posted on Celtics.com when they are determined.
If any game is not played refunds will be processed at the point of purchase. Fans who purchase online will receive an automatic refund from Ticketmaster for the face value of each ticket, facility charge and per ticket service charge. Delivery charges will not be refunded.
