BIG EAST Softball Player of the Week
Briana Marcelino, UConn, Sr., INF
Marcelino batted .417 with three home runs, one double and five RBI in a five-game weekend for UConn in Waco, Texas. The senior shined in the Huskies upset of 21st-ranked Baylor, going 2-for-2 from the plate with a homer, two walks, three runs and two RBI. She was also 2-for-2 in Saturday’s win over Lamar. She totaled a .563 on base percentage for the weekend.
