West Virginia is finalizing a five-year contract to hire Darian DeVries as the school's next men's basketball coach, according to ESPN's Pete Thamel.
DeVries has served as the head men's basketball coach at Drake since 2018.
According to Jeff Goodman of Field of 68, Tucker DeVries plans to follow his father as a transfer to West Virginia.
The Bulldogs won the Missouri Valley Conference tournament and made the NCAA tournament in each of the past two seasons under DeVries' leadership.
DeVries will take the place of interim head coach Josh Eilert, who replaced former head coach Bob Huggins last June.
