The Ravens lost to the 49ers despite a 75-55 edge in offensive snaps and a 25-15 edge in first downs.

At the heart of the reasons were Colin Kaepernick’s 10.9 yards per drop back and 21.3 yards per completion. He completed just 16 of 27 for 340 (326 net) passing yards.

Those totals were supported by 9 plays of 15+ yards. Let’s review:

–(Q1, 15:00): Boldin caught a WR screen 3 yards behind the LoS by the right sideline. Despite apparent containment, he reversed his field across the formation and past backside defender Lawrence Guy (who overran the play) for a gain of 15 (-3 + 18 YAC) before he went out of bounds on the left side.
