CLEVELAND -- Few quarterbacks have suffered a greater fall than Matt Schaub, who went from being a Pro Bowl quarterback to a league punchline in the matter of one year.
In 2012, Schaub threw for 4,008 yards and 22 touchdowns, leading the Houston Texans to the AFC South title. A year later, he set the unwanted NFL record of throwing a pick-six in four straight weeks and was unceremoniously benched by the worst team in the league.
On Monday night, Schaub has a long-awaited chance to prove he still can be a productive quarterback in the NFL when he replaces the injured Joe Flacco and starts for the Baltimore Ravens against the Cleveland Browns.
