The Orioles started the day with the best fielding percentage in the American League and a chance to sweep the defending National League champs. The Diamondbacks looked the part of a World Series contender today, but Baltimore failed to live up to it’s strong defensive reputation in a 9-2 defeat.
Dean Kremer started the game with an impressive stretch on the mound. He did not allow a base runner his first time through the lineup and struck out five batters (four looking) in the first three innings. Unfortunately, things began to unravel in the fourth.
