In today's Hawks news update, the Atlanta Hawks are reportedly on a growing list of teams currently interested in Los Angeles Lakers free agent Pau Gasol.
Here's the scoop from ESPN's Ramona Shelburne:
Add two teams to the expected Pau Gasol market: Phoenix and Atlanta. Lakers, Knicks, Bulls, Mavs, Rockets all expected to pursue.

According to Mike Bresnahan of the Los Angeles Times, the Oklahoma City Thunder, Chicago Bulls, and Golden State Warriors are the only teams scheduled to have meetings with Gasol, with two of those teams not mentioned in Shelburne's report.
The extent of the Hawks' interest in Gasol is not yet known. The Hawks are also said to have major interest in Detroit Pistons big man Greg Monroe, and could also register interest in several other skilled frontcourt players as free agency continues to move along.
Either way, Gasol could be an instant help to a Hawks team that made the playoffs in 2013-14 - perhaps moving them up a rung from playoff contender to legitimate Eastern Conference championship threat.
