In today's Hawks news update, the Atlanta Hawks have been named as an early suitor for 32-year-old big man Carlos Boozer after he was amnestied by the Chicago Bulls on Tuesday.
According to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports, the Hawks could see Boozer's departure from the Windy City as a cost-effective way to improve their own team.
Plenty of teams with salary cap space, but two early favorites to make bids on Carlos Boozer: Charlotte and Atlanta.

In Boozer's amnesty clause auction process, teams will submit private bids over a qualifying limit of $1.5 million to purchase his services. The highest bidder wins Boozer's services at their stated price, with the Chicago Bulls eating the remainder of his $16.8 million salary for 2014-15.
The Hawks are one of a handful of teams who have the cap space to make a significant big on Boozer, making them an early frontrunner for his service. The twelve-year veteran averaged 13.7 points and 8.3 rebounds in 28.2 minutes per game this past season - numbers which will make him a coveted commodity as this bidding process goes along.
