The Falcons have plenty of areas to address heading into the 2015 NFL draft...let's take a look at the three most pressing needs:
3. Tight End
Tony Gonzalez was badly missed in 2014, and Matt Ryan needs another outlet on offense who can contribute as a blocker. Minnesota's Maxx Williams is the best TE in this draft, but don't be surprised if the Falcons take a flyer on FSU's Nick O'Leary or Miami's Clive Walford in round three.
2. Linebacker
The Falcons already need to add some depth to their linebacker corps, and now they face a tough decision on whether the often-injured Sean Weatherspoon is worth bringing back in free agency. Even if they retain Weatherspoon, they need to take a serious look at this draft's available linebackers. TCU's Paul Dawson and Miami's Denzel Perryman are both strong candidates who could be available in the second round.
1. DE/Edge Rusher
The Falcons once again struggled to put pressure on the quarterback in 2014, and they brought down opposing QBs just 22 times in 2014, tied with the Raiders for the second-fewest among all 32 NFL teams. The Falcons will have plenty of chances to work on that in this year's draft, and they'll be hoping Shane Ray somehow slips to #8. If he doesn't, keep a close eye on Clemson's Vic Beasley and Kentucky's Alvin Dupree.
