Martin Prado let a potential inning ending grounder go right through his legs. This led to a double, and after an intentional walk by Eric O'Flaherty, Carlos Gonzalez came up and on the first pitch, ripped a game-winning single. The final was 3-2.
The Braves are now 4.5 games back of the Phillies now. If they win today, they can get to 4 back.
Tommy Hanson (10-5) will try to out duel Jhoulys Chacin (8-7).
The Braves need this win, bad. To be 5 games back of the Phillies would be a tough place for them to be. 4 games back would be easier. (The Phillies don't play today, so the Braves can only gain or lose a half game.) On the other hand, the Braves are still 5 games in front of the Pirates and Diamondbacks in the Wild Card standings.
