Gary Neville and Piers Morgan were amongst football fans left stunned at Diego Carlos' horrible close-range miss in Monday's Premier League clash between Aston Villa and Liverpool.
Carlos spurned a huge chance to level the match at 2-2 in the first-half when the ball was played to him across the six-yard box by Leon Bailey, but somehow managed to put the shot wide.
Liverpool's Brazilian goalkeeper, Alisson, had left the goal gaping and Carlos only needed to tap the ball over the line to restore Villa back on level terms in the match that could see them clinch Champions League football next season.
