The NCAA Board of Governors met Tuesday to discuss how the NCAA will proceed with its 22 fall championships, and it announced that an update will be provided Wednesday.
Some wondered if the NCAA would move to cancel fall championships, which would essentially postpone fall sports (except football) to a later date. But according to Stadium’s Brett McMurphy, the NCAA intends to allow each division (Divisions 1-3) determine the fate of its fall sports.
He notes that would be critical for Division I, which has a lot more at stake to play in the fall for monetary purposes.
