The Arizona Cardinals announced the addition of an offensive lineman to the practice squad a day after the Cardinals promoted safety D.J. Swearinger to the active roster. They added tackle John Wetzel to the 10-man practice group.
Wetzel (6-7, 328) entered the NFL with the Raiders as an undrafted rookie free agent out of Boston College in 2013, but was released following training camp. He spent his first two years (2013-14) in the league on the practice squad of the Dallas Cowboys. Wetzel started this season on the Cowboys practice squad and also played on the Colts practice squad until he was released on December 1.
