The Alabama Crimson Tide are turning up the heat on the recruiting trail during the offseason, and it's paying dividends. Here's all the latest news and rumors surrounding Alabama's recruiting efforts:
Tide offer 4-star TE
Four-star tight end Jimmy Jaggers (Roseville, CA) picked up an offer from Alabama when he visited the school earlier this week, and it has put the Tide right at the top of his list.
“It’s definitely one that you kind of as a football fan want, not only as a player,” Jaggers told 247sports. “They definitely know how to treat their guys. They really show how they take care of their guys that play on the field for them. (My favorite part) Was hanging out with the players. They had a few guys that took me over to a pizza place and we just got to hangout and talk about what Bama has to offer. They told me I need to come back for an official visit and I’ll never leave.”
Jaggers says there a few schools that stick out for him, and he hopes to commit sometime this fall. He will enroll early.
The 6'4", 245-pounder is ranked as the No. 7 tight end and No. 253 overall prospect in the country.
4-star WR to visit Tuscaloosa this weekend
Jeff Thomas, a four-star wideout from East Saint Louis, IL, plans to visit Alabama this weekend to take part in the 7-on-7 tournament with his team.
The Tide are considered the favorite to land the 5'10", 170-pounder, but Ohio State is making a strong push. Michigan, Michigan State and Missouri are also in the mix.
Thomas is ranked as the No. 9 receiver and No. 62 overall prospect in the country.
DB target to visit Alabama next month
Four-star defensive back Hamsah Nasirildeen (Concord, NC) has visited Tuscaloosa twice this spring, and he's making a return trip on July 17th to take part in a camp.
Alabama is also the favorite to land Nasirildeen, but South Carolina, North Carolina and Clemson are also in the mix.
The 6'3", 210-pounder is ranked as the No. 12 safety and No. 136 overall prospect in the country.
