There is a three-way quarterback competition afoot for the Alabama Crimson Tide this offseason, with FSU transfer Jacob Coker, Cooper Bateman and David Cornwell battling it out for the #1 spot on the QB depth chart.
According to ESPN's Chris Low, Cornwell has emerged as the favorite at this early juncture:
Saban's not rushing it with his QB situation, but there's a genuine feeling at Alabama that David Cornwell could end up winning the job.

Cornwell was inconsistent during Alabama's spring game, going 11-for-22 for a meager 110 yards with one touchdown and two bad interceptions.
However, his work in spring practice along with his reputation as an efficient game manager could be enough to swing the competition in his favor as the summer progresses.
Stay tuned.
