2016 safety Shawn Jennings took a visit to Alabama over the weekend, and liked what he saw:
“I was supposed to meet with Coach Smart, but I ended up meeting with Coach Lupoi,” Jennings said via 247sports. “My brother went to see him too, and he ended up teaching me some things. [Lupoi] told me they liked my size and athleticism. Coach Smart is my main recruiter, but it ended up just being a meeting with Christian Bell, my brother, and myself. I’ve already seen the facilities many times and I like them a lot.”
Jennings is the brother of current Alabama commit, Anfernee Jennings, but said Nick Saban's program speaks for itself.
“Alabama is a grind and there’s no individual awards that matter, it’s about the team, said Jennings. “I can play wherever you put me and I’m going to work to make me and my teammates better and I’m not scared to be a leader.”
Jennings (6'2", 190 lbs.) is ranked as the No. 42 safety nationally.
