Class of 2016 WR Terrance Watkins (Athens, AL) has flown under-the-radar during most of his recruiting cycle, but Alabama has started to take notice of the 6'1", 170-pounder. His high school coach Allan Creasy said he expects a lot of action from the Crimson Tide soon.
“He hasn’t gotten an offer (from Alabama) yet,” Creasy said, via 247Sports. “They want to see him in camp. He had a pulled hip flexor coming out of track season last year, and it held him back from attending camps like he needed to, so not a lot of people have seen him.
“[His visit] went well. Coach (Billy) Napier talked to him a lot. Rob Ezell is down there on the staff, he’s one of our former players, so we have a good person of contact in the program. Terrance has been down there a couple of times, so we’re familiar with them and they’re familiar with us”
Watkins only has one offer from Southern Miss so far, but Missouri, Louisville, and Arkansas State are also showing a lot of interest.
