The road to Philadelphia began Sunday with a top-10 matchup in the heart of the nation's capital between No. 9 Penn State (11-4) and No. 7 Georgetown (12-3).

A 2:30 p.m. draw sparked a heated clash that the Hoyas took home by a final score of 12-9 after a second-half comeback, sending them to the quarterfinal round of the NCAA Tournament.

The blue and white’s leading scorers notched two goals in the opening five minutes. Matt Traynor was the first on the board with a 15-yard snipe that beat the shot clock, followed by TJ Malone wrapping around the crease to find the back of the net.
