Gill, a former seventh-round pick by the Bears back during the 2022 NFL Draft is a 25-year-old punter who played for the Bears the past two seasons. He was waived by the Bears a few days after the draft after the team spent a fourth-round pick on a punter during the 2024 NFL Draft.
