NFC East news: Giants to honor historic 100th season; Kingsbury “making his mark” on Commanders’ offense

New York set to wear jersey patches all year, with other celebrations throughout the season.

The 2024 season will be a special one for the New York Giants, regardless of on-field results.

The upcoming campaign will be the 100th for the franchise, which began play in 1925. The Giants will honor the landmark year with a special patch to be worn on their jerseys this season, which the team revealed Monday:

The new icon tells the story written by one of the NFL’s oldest franchises over the last century, featuring a shield designed in the shape of the team’s first home, the Polo Grounds, as well as zeroes in the shape of their former home, Giants Stadium, and eight football laces to honor the club’s eight NFL championships.
